Privacy Policy — MyCSPB Google Sign-In
This Privacy Policy describes how Colegio de San Pascual Baylon ("CSPB", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information obtained from Google when a parent or guardian chooses "Sign in with Google" to access the MyCSPB parent portal ("the Service"). Sign-in is handled by the school's single sign-on (SSO) identity server. By using "Sign in with Google" to access MyCSPB, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Scope of This Policy
This policy covers only the information CSPB receives from Google when you authenticate with a Google Account. "Sign in with Google" is an optional convenience — parents and guardians may also access MyCSPB using a CSPB-issued username and password without involving Google at all.
2. Information We Receive from Google
When you sign in with Google, we request only the minimum sign-in scopes (openid, email, and profile). Google shares only the following with us:
- Your name — the display name on your Google Account.
- Your email address and whether Google has verified it.
- Your profile picture — the image associated with your Google Account, if any.
- Your Google account identifier — a unique ID that lets us recognise you on return visits.
- Your locale — your language/region preference, used only to display the portal appropriately.
We do not request or receive access to your Gmail, Google Contacts, Google Calendar, Google Drive, photos, or any other Google service or data. We cannot read your email, see your files, or act on your behalf in any Google product.
3. How We Use This Information
We use the information received from Google solely to:
- Create and maintain your MyCSPB parent portal account.
- Authenticate you on each visit and recognise you as a returning user.
- Display your name and profile picture within the portal so you know you are signed in.
- Send you portal-related notices at your email address, such as account or enrollment updates.
We do not use this information for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not build advertising or marketing profiles from it.
4. How Your Information Is Stored
Information received from Google is stored in the school's SSO identity server as your account record. It is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and protected by access controls limited to authorised CSPB staff. We never receive or store your Google password.
5. How Your Information Is Shared
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. Google acts only as the identity provider that verifies who you are; the information then stays within CSPB's own systems. We may disclose information only if required to do so by law or to respond to a lawful request from public authorities.
6. Limited Use
CSPB's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We request only the minimum scopes necessary for sign-in and use the data only for the purposes described in this policy.
7. Data Retention
- Your account information is retained for as long as your MyCSPB parent portal account remains active.
- When you request account deletion (see Section 8), or when the account is no longer needed, the information received from Google is permanently deleted from our systems.
8. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Use a different sign-in method — "Sign in with Google" is optional; you may use a CSPB-issued username and password instead.
- Revoke Google access at any time from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking access stops future Google sign-ins but does not by itself delete your MyCSPB account.
- Request access to the information we hold about you.
- Request deletion of your MyCSPB account and the associated information by emailing us at info@cspb.edu.ph with the subject line "MyCSPB Account Deletion Request". We will process your request within 30 days and confirm by email.
9. Children's Privacy
The MyCSPB parent portal and its "Sign in with Google" option are intended for the parents and guardians of CSPB students — not for children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13 through this Service. If you believe a minor has created a portal account without parental consent, please contact us at info@cspb.edu.ph and we will delete the relevant account.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
